  • Suggested donation is $20 per person. Credit cards accepted.

  • You do not need a reservation. If the driver is at the dock, they will be ready to take you right away.

    Reservations are available! We can even pick you up (on-neck only)

  • You’ll explore the entire perimeter of Castine’s peninsula - from the dock to lighthouse, from the northernmost corner of the harbor to Maine Maritime Academy at the top of the hill.   • Tours take about 1 hour to 90 minutes. The group can choose to stop to walk around the lighthouse, take a peek at the Historical Society exhibits or stop at any of the forts or other sights. Or, just sit back and relax for a seated ride. Also, length of the tour depends on the loquaciousness of your tour guide.

  • Our guide is probably on a tour! Look for the sandwich board sign and the clock to indicate when they will return. Until then, browse the visitors’ center or enjoy the view of our harbor.

  • Scarlett can seat 5 riders in addition to the driver.

  • Dogs ride free! If your dog is comfortable in your lap or sitting at your feet, we just ask that you hold on to their collar.

  • Absolutely! We’re Castine’s tiny taxi service. Rides up the hill are by donation.

  • Our drivers are not in it for the money. However, if you want to show your appreciation tips are welcome. (There might even be a little friendly competition on who earns the most…) All tips go back to CTC and helps us fund our giving goals.
